Bridges of Norman
Bridges of Norman is a charity organization that assists students by removing barriers to graduation. Bridges helps students by providing food, clothing, shelter, and assisting with medical needs. Students also receive counseling in life skills and have advocates to help them graduate.

There is currently no other program in the Norman area duplicating these services, and because Bridges students are not in the juvenile justice or child welfare systems, without help they would fall through the cracks.

SoonerCon has Supported Charity Organizations Since 1986

SoonerCon is organized by the Future Society of Central Oklahoma, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our organization’s vision is to “learn from the past; work together today; build a welcoming tomorrow.” Part of how we accomplish that vision is by supporting other charity organizations.

Helping youth in need is once again the theme for this year’s charitable giving. There will be opportunities to support our charity partner throughout the convention weekend, including our charity auction, tabletop gaming tournaments, and more.

In 2019, SoonerCon 28 raised $7,000 to help children with unstable living conditions get the education and support they need to succeed.

Fundraising methods included our annual charity auction, Cards Against Humanity and trivia tournaments, refurbished Nerf blaster sales, and others.

SoonerCon has been raising money for our charity partners since 1986.

SoonerCon 28: Brave New Worlds (2019)

Our charity for SoonerCon 28 was Positive Tomorrows. Our various fundraisers including the Charity Store/Auction, Nerf Armory, Cards Against Humanity Tournament, and other efforts raised $7,000.

 

SoonerCon 27: Beyond the Veil (2018)
SoonerCon raised $6,100 for Positive Tomorrows in 2018, and they will return as our sponsored charity in 2019.

 

SoonerCon 26: Welcome to the Show! (2017)
Our charity for SoonerCon 26 was NAMI Oklahoma. Our various fundraisers including the Charity Store/Auction, Nerf Armory, Cards Against Humanity Tournament, and the ever so popular pie-in-the-face raised $7,000.
SoonerCon 25: The Silver Age (2016)
Our charity for SoonerCon 25 was NAMI Oklahoma. Our various fundraisers including the Charity Store/Auction, Foam Armory, and Cards Against Humanity Tournament, raised $5,000.
SoonerCon 24: The Future Is Under Construction (2015)
Our charity for SoonerCon 24 was NAMI Oklahoma. Our various fundraisers raised $3,000.
SoonerCon 23: Darkness Falls (2014)
Our charity for SoonerCon 23 was NAMI Oklahoma. Our various fundraisers raised $4,000.

Our charity for SoonerCon 22 was Anna’s House Foundation. The live auction raised over $1400.

Our charity for SoonerCon 21 was Infant Crisis Services. The live auction raised over $1400.

Our charity for SoonerCon 20 was Infant Crisis Services. The live auction raised over $1170.
